We need you.
Seen and Heard is showcases films written, directed and produced by women, celebrating the diverse and extraordinary work of women filmmakers that extend far beyond the genres typically associated with women: romance, soppy family drama, period films, the list goes on.
Seen and Heard screens films that should be seen by everyone: race, disability, gender and sexuality – no subject is taboo.
We need volunteers to help us promote the event, do hands-on stuff on the nights, even if that’s taking photographs or video footage.
The festival is taking place over three Thursday nights in March: 15, 22 and 29 at Sydney’s Red Rattler theatre in Marrickville.
If you’re keen, drop us a line at volunteers@seenandheardfilms.com.
The bottom line
Unpaid work is hard. We acknowledge that gaining experience often means sacrificing time that could be spent earning money. We would like to offer to volunteers the chance to work autonomously and authoritatively, to work in ways which enrich their knowledge and genuinely contribute to their career building. Volunteers are encouraged to negotiate their workloads with us.
